New glasses again!
It's red this time! ;)
The sale assistant, Eric, said it looked nice on me, as compared to the other one which was purple in colour... I hesitated for quite a while as red seemed too bold, but Eric laughed it off and said that bold coloured frames are in trend and getting common these days, and that I should go for it... I went for it in the end, I liked the retro butterfly motif at the sides, and also because this red pair felt lighter and comfy as compared to the rest...
Costs S$ 109, with multi-coat lens...
My previous pair costs S$ 85 but broke within a week, but that was for normal plastic lens, those that are most basic and reflective. I had wanted to get back the normal lens, of which the glasses would costs just S$ 79, but I went for the multi-coat lens (had to top up S$ 30) because of Eric's good service - as compared to the shop where I did my previous pair. I had stepped in indicating that I am looking for cheap plastic glasses, and the ones displayed were of limited design, but Eric took the trouble to look through his kept stocks in order to get the right pair for me. He got my eyes checked, found out I had astig in one eye, fixed up the trial lens which I get to try on before determining the right power for my new glasses. The previous shop (at Hougang Central) did nothing of such. Merely asked for the power of my contact lens and went ahead with the order. NO EYE CHECKING AT ALL. Just because I chose frames that were marked down 50% in prices, and that I had refused to top up for multi-coat lens I guess... And I thought I've got a great deal... Humph!
