FTWM

Okay, this is the truth I've got to accept; I've started working again. I am now a FTWM, after around 3.5 years of staying home.

So what happens to my darling baby Lia when I'm at work? Well, mornings are still pretty much the same for us, James still goes off early, Lia and I we are still waking up at the usual stipulated time. We still eat breakfast together, and like the past I'd still bring her down to wait for the school bus before heading off to my workplace. Lia will be at my in-laws' house after school, and either James or myself will pick her up in the evenings. I was overwhelmed with the housework and stuff on my first day of work, hence the lousy feel, but now, with an idea from my sister-in-law, I've got something worked and my new schedule goes like this:- Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays = housework days. It's in me recently, I just can't make do with dusty floors and a messy house, it makes me flare up more easily for I'll be so uncomfortable with everything in sight! So, I'll go home straight after work to deal with whatever I need to deal with, and James will pick Lia and bring dinner back for me. Tuesdays and Thursdays, I'll go back to my in-laws' house, eat dinner and bring Lia back on my own while James puts in some overtime. Saturdays are reserved for Lia's enrichment classes and shopping, and Sundays are rest and parents-visiting days!

Back home, I'll try to settle down by 9ish, to put in some home activities for Lia. Flash cards, colouring, doodling, play, catching up; but I've sort of given up on writing practices, for it is just so hard to get my kid to write at this point of time! (She tells me she's so tired after writing just three alphabets!)

This is what I see when I returned from work today; my baby leisurely riding a tricycle in my mother-in-law's garden.

You know, her school bus aunty told me this morning that Lia, told her that she likes it more at my in-laws' house! I can see why, but how very disappointing for the devoted mommy! *Sign, but as long she's happy, I'm happy too...

I also got myself a new bag for work. A Cold Storage canvas bag priced at S$4.95 (I got it with a further 5% store discount!). It's soft and comfortable, economical, machine washable, but just too roomy. I might get my seamstress to downsize it = more handy.

I wanted a plain cloth bag because I have had plans to add nice button badges to it. Here's my first one, by Carrie Chau!
