A kind soul

I met a nice man this afternoon.

Had brought the little one out to Compasspoint for a late breakfast and we hung around the mall till noon. I proceeded to the food court as Lia awoke from her short nap. It was lunch time and thus rather crowded. I asked to share a table (with another mother and daughter pair) near the fish soup stall, grabbed a high chair and left Lia in her stroller while I get the food. Though I was away, like 2 meters distance, my eyes never left Lia. I saw her playing with the new stroller clip fan I bought, but to my dismay, she got bored in just a while. The little one was getting all fidgety, and was trying to wriggle her way out of the stroller. I tensed up, I was still at the back of the queue and the mother and daughter pair, they had finished their meal and were leaving. (Wishful thinking me thought they would help entertain my little terrorist) Before Lia start all her screaming, I did what I had thought of earlier on. Yanked out a five dollar note from my purse and timidly pleaded the man queuing before me to help me out. I felt so relieved when he obliged! And I quickly walked back to look on my little terrorist! PHEW!

The man was really kind, he got my order right, got me a pair of chopsticks and a spoon, and even scoped chilli padi for me! I couldn't thank him enough!

This simple act, made my day indeed! A helpless mother alone with her young kid threatening to brawl, is no fun. Let's all be kind souls together shall we? ;)
