Massive updates!
My baby has grown indeed, even her hair, though she is still far from ponytails and all. Heehee! I have little notes in my handphone to keep track of her progress and I am just plain lazy to get everything summarised in my blog. Here she is, in her oversized hat from Gap.
Lia is still nursing, 23 months+ now, even with the fact that my milk supply has declined greatly since she started school. I think it's just habitual of her to nurse as she is drinking Pediasure like 3 times a day. My baby seeks comfort from me in the morning upon waking up (later at breakfast she drinks Pediasure), during the bus ride home after school (she'd have Pediasure in school before her nap) and one last time in the night at bedtime (she'd would have a cup of Pediasure before settling down for mine). I have weaned her from night nursings, though there are still times when she would wake up whining to have her milk fix and I'd usually ignore her till she drops back to sleep again.
This little girl has gotten vain nowadays. James has caught her dancing and acting in front of the mirror and she likes to imitate us too. She'd grab her hairbrush and do the same when she sees me blow-drying my hair, she'd scratch her arm when she sees me scratching mine, she'd say she wants to wee-wee too when she sees me doing it, and the list goes on... She is rather possessive of her belongings, sometimes of me and my belongings too. She would not let James carry my bag when we were out, she wouldn't wanna hold hands with James, she wouldn't let James touch my handphone and would hurriedly grab it and bring it to her beloved mommy. She would not have James sit on her stool, she'd push us (yes, me too) off the floor cushion and claimed it as hers (even though it's not). She wouldn't let James make her bedtime milk, only I have the honour of doing it, she yelled in resentment when James stepped out of the room with us for fear he would beat me in getting to the kitchen first.
Self feeding.
She is doing it rather well now. Lesser of spills and drips, but she has her moods and on some days, I have to (force) feed her. I think she looked cute with her stony eyes! ;p
Hammock-less. Yes, Lia has been weaned from the hammock! Actually this happened quite a few months back (shortly after she started school), all thanks to Teacher Sheena! We all know she misses the hammock still as on some occassions when we are back at my parents-in-law's house, Lia would go up to the hammock area, point to the door beside it (hammock is being kept and hung behind that door) and say "nap".
Last but not least, the baby has got her own passport now! Before this, James and I took tonnes of pictures and none of it was right. We sort of gave up on it until this particular evening while we were back at my parents-in-law house. I was admiring the newly painted wall (by James) when the passport photo came to mind. I whipped out my handphone, got Lia to stand at the wall and then, snap! This very first picture I snapped turned out to be the one! Hah!
