Lia's hurt, too.
There couldn't be much more of a coincidence than this. The following night after I read Amy's entry on Tara's injury, Lia fell and got a cut on her forehead, quite at the same spot as Tara's.
See, how uncanny.
I didn't witness the accident but I knew that Lia was playing with her bath towel James packed for school the next day. She came into the wardrobe area where I was drying my hair but I shooed her out (it's her bedtime), and reminded James to keep a close watch on her. I then heard James called the little one for bed and a while later, there was this loud bump followed by James' very worried voice calling out for me to go over quick. There was this urgency in his tone, my heart skipped a bit and I sprang from my stool with a deep sense of foreboding.
Lia had started crying big time and was quite inappeasable. She refused ice pressure, the wound was really swollen but luckily there wasn't much blood. I didn't know how long she took to calm down, but once she did, we whipped out good old Zam-Buk. Lia knew what Zam-Buk was for. She have had knocks and bumps before and we'd always apply Zam-Buk on her. So this time round, she cooperated and sat quietly on the couch while I rubbed in on her wound. It was a good 15 minutes+ of light massaging and I managed to reduce the swelling. The picture I posted, was after the application of Zam-Buk.
I think the accident happened on Thursday, and it's Sunday today. Lia's pretty fine now. Not much of a blue-black and her wound's dried up. She just have to bear with the itch for a couple of days.
