Our baby turned two!
Happy 2nd Birthday, Baby!
Yes, I know I have been lazy to blog these days but we'd just celebrated our baby's second birthday and I HAVE TO BLOG IT!
I decided to have a party for Lia in school this year and I included goodie bags this time round. There wasn't any for her first birthday party but nevermind, she's too young to know about goodie bags at that time so save it! ;p
I decided on the theme, Rainbow Brite because the bags were on offer (cheap thrill). I joined a bulk purchase and got the bags from Birthday Direct, costed $ 0.70 each.
And the goodies...
Ritz bits Cheese Sandwiches ($ 0.63), organic raisins ($0.43), Florida's Natural Fruit Nuggets ($0.69), Japanese rice cracker ($0.17), Astro Boy handheld fan ($0.15) - Thanks to May for the lobang! Glittering Carebear stickers (They were cut-outs, $3 for 2 sheets of stickers, further divided into 12 parts), Hello Kitty little pump bottle and round containers for girls ($0.68), whilst the boys get toy cars ($0.65). It costed aroound $3.00 per bag (including the bag) and I had 12 bags.
For a record, other items from Birthday Direct; a Rainbow Brite table cover which was on offer, costed $5.60 and magic unicorn party hats at $3.90 for 16 pcs - offer price too! (All prices are in SGD)
Here's my baby!
I dressed her in her new Ralph Lauren dress, it was rather long and it looked like a gown on her! Nevermind lah, that means more mileage!
Our family pic! Little girl looked glum but we knew she was excited and all jumpy inside and was acting nonchalant. How proud siah. ;p
The birthday cake is a disappointment - design wise. It was a 1 kg chocolate sponge cake with blueberry fillings from Creative, costed $33.60 and $6.00 for delivery fees. Luckily, the taste is still okay. I am not elaborating further, well even James commented it didn't look good, there is nothing left to be said.
Lia's teachers and classmates. On the left is teacher Bessie, she's wearing a black top with white collars, and she is Lia's form teacher. The lady in red is a new assistant teacher - forgot your name, sorry! And the teacher on the right wearing pink is teacher Eve whom came over specially to do the birthday walk (link below) for Lia.
Enjoying the cake with her friends.
Remember this little boy? He's Ig, my baby's boyfriend in school! Haha! They are in different class now and I had requested for Teacher Sheena and Ig to come over for the party but only Ig made it. Teacher Sheena has got new kids in her class and was pretty tied up (and stressed up too I guess).
I got Lia to hand out the goodie bags to her friends. She kept asking for one for herself but she was good and did not fuss at all when I said there'd be one for her and she has to give out to her friends first. =)
Here are the videos taken, birthday walk - part 1, part 2, and singing of the birthday song for Lia!
