We're back in action!
I've been missing for the past three weeks and here are two words to explain my disappearance: lazy, hectic. ;p
I am now leading life as a SAHM again and my day is pretty much devoted to my little girl. No more 'me' times and this little shadow hangs around my side even when I use the bathroom. Lia has turned 27 months and she has gotten more talkative than ever! She'd chatter non-stop at times, it gets on my nerves I do admit, but she is still my cutie pie.
My baby has been weaned from breastfeeding (when she turned 2) and also, totally weaned from diapers (at 26.5 months). I guess the timing was right, Lia was ready to go diaperless for when I began potty-training her, things progressed rather smoothly (except that period when I sent her back to school). I bought nice little panties for my baby, and felt proud of myself as her mother. :D
I have also restarted on flashcards again. Since Lia has been withdrawn from school, I have to do my part and start teaching her at home. So the lazy mommy dug out her stuffs and started printing, cutting, pasting and sorting...etc. Informal homeschooling I shall call it for I still have not gotten down to proper lesson plans yet. Our activities starts late morning after our breakfast and we'd do jigsaw puzzles, flashcards - English, Chinese, Pictures and Maths, phonics (just started today), music (not fun when it's just me and my baby alone) and free play.
I recently bought a Montessori Maths counting set from Yahoo auctions and with my existing dots flashcards, I got Lia to do her counting!
I hope to post more on my baby for I'd started this blog because of her. I do keep little notes in my mobile keeping track of my baby's developments as well as her cute moments, but just failed to blog them every time. Guess I have to try harder!
I haven't been posting Lia's food for a long time and this is one of my baby's dinner.
Mixed brown rice, broccoli, carrots, fish balls (she loves this) and tomato omelette. (Cooked chicken but Lia was coughing and chicken aggravates her condition, thus I gave her none of it)
Don't call me crazy, for I am still keeping track of the food my baby eats daily.
