Rongji Seafood, Yio Chu Kang
Our all time favourite food hunt, we were at Rongji Seafood for dinner last Friday.
The man had a craving for chilli crabs and we ordered two of it. I thought it was fine, in taste. Except that two of the gongs, were missing in meat. :( They cracked it too much, and whilst frying, the meat came off and were scattered in the gravy. Not shiok at all for I LOVED eating gongs plump in meat! James however gave the thumbs down. He was disappointed and kept mumbling that the cooks were too busy and they were too haste in their cooking.
Two chilli crabs $44, deep fried mantou $3.
Anyway, the rest of the dishes came out fine, to my liking at least. :)
Prawn paste chicken, $7. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The aroma of prawn paste fills your mouth at every bite.
Baby Kailan, $6. Stir-fried in oyster sauce, a simple yet yummy dish of greens.
Lia have had dinner at my in-laws' house. She asked for some rice and proceeded to wolf it down...
Rongji Seafood
Catus Road (Off Yio Chu Kang Road)
I did not take note of their unit number, but this place is somewhere beside Ang Mo Quee Camp, in front of the cluster of terrace houses.
Rather economical zi-char foods, their weekends are usually crowded and it's best to be there early.
