Oh my oh my...

I can't believe I haven't been blogging for close to a month!

Oh well, for the past three weeks, I was activated for work (James' term for me having to fill in when it's shorthanded) at my father-in-law's hardware shop. And couple of days back when I was slightly more free to blog, the pig had to undo the Internet connection! Speaking of which, yeah, we had a fight. Just because I reprimanded him for watching tooooo much TV. I got angry too for all this was really unfair, he watches TV comfortably in the evenings while I always, only used the computer after Lia sleeps. See, he has NO right to mess up my Internet connection and I have every right to get pissed off! I contemplated leaving the house. But, with a kid and baggage in tow, I decided to give this idea a miss. And where should I go? Hotel 81 for the cheap room rates? I shuddered at the thoughts of sleeping in a Geylang budget hotel room with my kid. Strange room, strange bed, and probably some strange sounds too. And Lia and I would be the ones struggling with the cold outside whilst he stays comfortably in the house? No way. I contemplated throwing him out, but, neighbours would know and it's gonna get real embarrassing, so I gave this thought a miss too. I engaged a cold war instead. I am still not talking much to that pig yet, though I did give in a little, like buying him a piece of watermelon after lunch, and cooking his share of dinner yesterday. I hid the TV remote controls, hehe, but seeing the Internet connection up today, I took them out again.

To add on to the pressure, Lia, got pretty out of hand today. I yelled, and threatened, and scolded her. It was so frustrating that I ended up with thoughts of returning to work full-time. I could engage a helper and deposit the kid at my in-laws house during the day, could I? After all, she seemed much more manageable under my mother-in-law's care, meal times especially. My mother-in-law frowns in disbelief when she sat and watched me feed the kid. She claimed that Lia finishes her meal in half the time, with half the noise, and ate much more than what I had managed to shove down her throat. But downside is, I do not get to bring up my kid in my own hands. Anyway, that's just a thought. Let's hope for a better tomorrow.

Thanks Fannie. James doesn't feel the need to talk, he's too in-sensitive and he prob thinks all things would be fine once I simmer off... Anyway, we're fine already, and he is back to watching his TV!!! Arghhh!
