兔... vomit?

Lia was flipping through her storybook while I sat typing away at my laptop. She found the word 兔, and excitedly pointed it out to me. That's one of her best Chinese word.

Lia: "Mommy, you know this word right? You know one, you tell me!"
Me: "Oh, you know it too, don't you? You tell me..."
Lia beaming away: "Aiya, it's 兔..."
Me: "Oh I see... What's 兔 by the way? What does it means?"
Lia: "兔 means rabbit, and vomit, okay?"
Me: "Har? Vomit ah?"
Lia: "Ya! Vomit!"
Me laughing: "Okay, you know, it sounds the same but it's not the same word..."

I told James the very next day and we promptly laughed it off!
