Lia's first stage performance ever

Lia had her first stage performance two weeks back! It was her school's graduation concert and all the kids got to play a part in putting the concert together. These two pictures were taken during the full dress rehearsal.

I bought them from the school at S$2 each, actually, I bought three pictures and James was complaining on how expensive they were! I also bought their concert DVD and that cost S$20, on which James complained too, but... how can I resist right? I will be regretting my whole life if I had given them a miss! Anyway, what's that compared to the S$40 we paid for Lia's set of costume? And it comes with the pair of cute gloves which Lia got back after the concert! She won't get to wear it again in the near future I guess, but, who cares! LOL!

On the actual day itself... We were waiting for the kids to be called in.

And then it started... I am going straight into Lia's performance. Their turn came in the early part of the concert and they played hand bells.

Here's a video I've taken of their performance (it lasted close to three minutes). I focused on Lia for the beginning when I realised that they haven't got much "actions", haha, by the time I remembered rest of the group, it was already half way through the performance. And I am really surprised that no one dropped their hand bells! For a while I thought, the teachers must have sewn the hand bells to the gloves they're wearing but Lia said not, it wasn't. And I asked her: "What if you drop those hand bells??" Lia merely replied: "Then, pick up lah."

And at the grand finale... I had to crop this picture because there were many "heads" blocking me. I sat close to the front and had a great view; but at the finale, some parents got too excited and rushed up to the front snapping away despite the principal telling them not to.

Lia looked rather nonchalant during her performance, I asked if she was scared seeing the audience and she said she was. What an experience for my baby; I am so happy for her!
