香醋香蕉 (Bananas in vinegar)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Following
醋番茄 which has taken the markets by storm, this is another good-for-your-health recipe by 比利! I have already eaten a jar of it and this is my second one!

Here's the recipe!

Ingredients
6 bananas - any type, long or short
5^ lemons or to taste - preferbably green in colour, else, yellow ones would suffice too
500ml natural/organic cider vinegar
寡糖* (Which is
FOS or Oligo sugar in English term) to taste
A 1200ml container

^The recipe calls for 5 lemons; I used 3 lemons for the first time but it ended up too sour and bitter for my liking.
And so, I reduced to only 1 lemon for my second jar, which I liked it better.
*No luck in finding FOS yet, apparently it was OOS islandwide! I used organic raw cane sugar for substitute this time - 3 tablespoons dissolved in water
over the stove

Steps
Dissolve FOS (or the type sugar you are using) in water, let cool and stir it into the cider vinegar
Slice the lemons, 0.5 cm in thickness, keep the skin on
Peel and cut the bananas into 2 cm thick chunks
Place the cut bananas into the glass container
Pour in the vinegar (with FOS or the type of sugar you are using stirred in), vingear must cover the bananas
Arrange the lemon slices on top of the bananas
Keep aside for around 8 hours before consuming

Eat
Twice a day, before your breakfast and dinner, one banana (i.e. 4, 5 pieces depending on the length of banana used) serving each time.

Keep
For 3 days only.

This is good for...

People with high cholesterol, it helps set your cholesterol level to normal
Patients recovering from stomach cancer, it helps prevent recurring of cancerous cells
Reducing your waistline
Improves pockmarks
Reduces facial water retention
Boosting one's immunity system
Good for your bowels too!

You know what, I've used up both of
Lia's jars!
