She cry, I cry - Part 2

This is what happened on my baby's third day of school.

We had just walked in the gate and upon reaching the receiving station, Lia flung off my hand and did a U-turn when she saw the teachers seated in front. The teachers laughed for they think the little one is so cute, and Lia, stunned by their laughter, meekly allowed me to carry her.

She had her temperature taken rather sulkingly. Breakfast of the day, scrambled egg has finished and I gave her part of my raisin bread. As I exit the dining hall to get her water bottle from the classroom, Lia cried. I decided to really let go on seeing this and I tried to hide as Teacher Sheena carried her. I knew that the disappearance act is not healthy and as I couldn't bear it too, I reappeared. I walked in and the another teacher took over Lia's water bottle for me. I went in for a last look and told Lia that I'll be back in the afternoon after her nap. She was crying, big time.

I wept as I walked out of the school and I was teary-eyed all the way home. When I reached home, I tried to stop my weeping but to no avail and I started up all over again. I offered to cook some food for James and hid in the kitchen, weeping even harder. I had no appetite to eat and I just laid on the couch and watched some TV program. My tears had stopped by then and I went on with some chores wanting time to pass on quickly.

I returned earlier to pick my baby for I couldn't wait to see her. Lia had just woken from her nap and was holding on to Teddy and crying. She saw me and refused to sit in the dining hall for her tea. I wanted her to eat her kaya sandwich and so I carried her and stood somewhere outside the dining hall. She nibbled on her bread slowly...

I talked to Teacher Sheena and she said that Lia still refused company. She was playing with the coloured stacking blocks and when Lia saw that Teacher Sheena sat down beside her for some stacking too, Lia pushed and collapsed Teacher Sheena's blocks. She then proceeded to put the blocks back into their respective basket, seeing some red block in the yellow basket, she picked them out one at a time and put them back into the right basket. She kept and organised the three different coloured blocks into their baskets, and put them back onto the shelf nicely.

Teacher Sheena told me that all the teachers in the center likes Lia and though her outlooks is still very baby like, she is one independent girl, and which I am glad for it.

More to come, I will blog on Lia's fourth day of school. I am going for a haircut now, I badly need to offload my stress...
