Lia's mid-year PTC (2008)

James and I went for Lia's school's Parents-Teacher-Conference (PTC) this afternoon. We spoke to Lia's form teacher, Ms. Q while the assistant teacher kept Lia occupied outside the classroom. Her Chinese teacher came in after a while and these are their comments on the little girl:-

1) Lia is one with her own mind and often wants to do things HER way.
2) You can't force anything out from this little one. The more one pushes her, the further Lia would go the opposite way.
3) She is choosy at times.
4) She is an attention seeker.
5) She has got good brains and a temper which she isn't afraid to show.
6)She is able to absorb both English and Chinese lessons well.
7) She is BEST AT PLAY. She can be so crazy and is often loud, like a tomboy. (Haha!)
8) She likes school food and eats well.
9) She is VERY LOUD when it comes to crying! She cried most loudly during one of her field trips to watch 'The Little Red Hen' musical, she didn't like the characters in the play and was intimidated by them. Even the Principal could not console her!
10) She'd sometimes argue with/bully her classmates! (Oops!)

Luckily, Ms Q sums up that Lia is still a manageable kid and she does get along well with her classmates. She is a different one and she stands out because of her personalities.

As for her progress in school, Lia got mostly 'Bs' (which stands for 'Good') and two 'Cs' which stands for 'Average'. And Ms. Q told me that the highest grade they have given is a 'B'. But I am disappointed on the sections which she got a 'C' for it involves respecting the rights and properties of others, and also accepting and respecting authority. I should step up on my part to remind Lia that she has got to behave and not throw tantrums in school anymore.

Despite some negative comments here and there, I am still happy and proud of my little one. Afterall, she is behaving just how a kid should be. :)
