Kong-bah-pau
The man requested for kong-bah-pau on Tuesday... He had taken a day off work and I decided to do some marketing with him. It is easier with him around as he can either carry Lia or help with the bags. He would always request for a special dish whenever he comes to the market with me, one which I only cook when I am in a good mood once in a while. It's either fish head curry or curry chicken, but recently, it is kong-bah-pau!
My dearest mom had taught me the steps and this is my second attempt cooking it on my own! : D
Top, from left:
First, I marinated the pork - used part "three-layers-fat" pork and part lean pork. Soaked some chinese mushrooms too.
Middle, from left: In a hot saucepan, I threw in the big pieces first... Followed by the rest of the pieces.
Bottom, from left: Added in chinese mushrooms... Pork pieces and chinese mushrooms sizzling away!
Ahhh... Finally, here comes the sinfully unhealthy and fattening kong-bah-pau! Hiak! Hiak! Hiak!
Scary? Eat once in a while can, not always because all those fats are bad for the heart... By the way, that white piece on top of the bah, is garlic... ; p
