Damned gastric flu

I was already unwell and damned gastric flu had to pick me as its next target. Lia was under my mother-in-law's care on Friday and Saturday and she stayed over that two nights. (what an achievement!) It was a lucky thing because my bout of gastric flu came in the wee hours of Sunday. I had just finished my television programs and was about to hit the sack when I felt cramps in my tummy. I took some painkillers, brushed it off and went to bed. But the cramps got intense and I sat up again after a while. Then, I had an urge to puke, and I puked. My dinner came out undigested (and gross) and I felt giddy. Following that I puked a second time and my diarrhea came. My cramps lasted all the way till morning, I tossed and turned in bed not being able to sleep properly. Come morning, I puked again and my diarrhea got worse. I had to call James and get him back from work to bring me to a doctor. I felt giddy and weak.

Well even James was not spared. He started vomiting and getting stomach cramps that afternoon. How unlucky. We had planned to bring Lia back from my in-laws' place but we were in such bad shapes and there was no way we could look after her. Mother-in-law suggested that Lia stay with her for another day and we had to agree. My parents and elder sister came by for dinner in the evening. It was a disappointment for Lia wasn't around.

For the record, Lia stayed over at my parents-in-law's place for three days and nights. I missed my little one a whole lot and I couldn't wait for her to come back later. Mother-in-law told me that Lia somehow cried harder last night at bedtime. It may be due to the fact that James had promised to bring her back but failed in doing so. She woke up at 5ish this morning and cried again. My poor baby. She is getting better already but diarrhea is still lingering. Hopefully it clears up soon. James just called me to inform that Lia's cousins over at my in-laws' place had gotten the virus as well, even my mother-in-law's starting to get stomach wind too. This is bad...
