BPs and sprees - Lia's pretty cheongsum!
I have been buying from forum sprees and bulk purchases recently, and even though none of the stuff was for me directly, I really felt like jumping up in joy when I checked my letter box yesterday. The letter box, was stuffed to the brim with my loot! :D
There were some letters, two fat packages (one which got stuck; Lia and I had a hard time tugging it out!) and one slim envelope, which contained the cheongsum (CS) I bought for Lia for CNY!
I have been eyeing this pretty CS for the past year! I first saw it during her Shichida class when one of her fellow classmate, E, wore it. And that was in January 2007 (just before CNY). E's mom told me she bought a couple of this CS (different colours) from Beijing and it cost just around S$5 each! I later saw it again at a Chinatown push cart but that was after CNY already and James didn't fancy me buying it - push cart selling @ S$12. The next CNY is quite round the corner and when I saw the bulk purchase in the forum, I KNEW I HAD TO GET IT! It cost S$10 from the bulk purchase and includes free normal postage as well! That's quite a good deal for me already for I can't imagine myself jostling with the crowd at Chinatown! But one downside, I was vain and got it in a snug fit for Lia, then we found that it was too small at the collar and we couldn't get Lia's head to go through! LOL! Luckily the organiser have had some ex-stocks and I can get it exchanged at a nearby location. Nevertheless, I am still happy that I've finally laid my hands on the CS!!!
