Lia's umbilical cord stump

I've finally got my butt moving and bottled up Lia's umbilical cord stump!



It was more than two or three years back when I was reading a mommy's blog and saw how she did this for her baby's. I went out, got two little glass bottles (I was thinking one each for her umbilical cord stump and newborn hair) but promptly left it sitting in my drawer sans action! The mommy I got this idea from used cotton wool as the filling; I tried it just now but it was too plain for I had chosen silver ribbons. Found some leftover pink curly paper and tried it; much better! It was still a little disgusting looking at the stump, but never mind lah, this is a wonderful keepsake after all! :D
