Stand-napping, dressing and undressing

Lia had fallen asleep on the sofa while watching her VCD and I had quietly turned it off. I was preparing dinner when I heard the little one whine. Taking a peep, I saw this.



How on earth could anyone end up napping in this position? I do not know. I dashed for my digital camera and snapped these pictures. I was afraid of startling her, so I left her to it and I hid beside the sofa for further observations. I was ready to catch her in case she grew limp and fall backwards, or sideways. A while later, Lia stirred, and whined, and climbed back onto the sofa to continue her nap. Oh well. What an experience, for the mommy. Haha!

Lia has gotten down to dressing and undressing herself. She plays dress up with my panties and my sleep shirt, and trots around the house wearing my bedroom slippers. My mom bought her a pair because she had been trotting around in my mom's pair when we were back for visits, but she still prefers mine. She likes to put on her shorts and panties by herself, but often I have to lend a hand. She likes to untape her diapers whenever we're dressing her, so now before every shower, I'll get her to remove her shorts and diapers by herself. She'd beam with delight everytime she does it; and talking about going diaperless, we're still far from it. -_-"

Lia has her shoes in the shoe cabinet with us. James has gotten her to take out her shoes by herself, and she gets to choose which pair to wear. She is learning to put on her shoes by herself, sometime she gets it right, but the other times like in this picture below, she'd get it the other way round. The shoe she has in her hands, is actually for her right foot.



And this is what happens when a freshly bathed toddler gets bored and it's not her bedtime yet.
