Updates: Lia calls "ah mee" and the stacking pyramid
Another week flew past in the blink of an eye.
Lia and myself had been unwell (again) and I've seen two doctors just this week! I had been wanting to blog after I'd put Lia to bed but everytime the drowsy effects of my cough syrup kicks in, I'd drift off to the slumberland together with my baby.
Nevertheless, I was really overjoyed that on 1st August 2006, at 19 months and 12 days, Lia finally called me! And she called my mom (ah ma) on the same day too! I was in a state of shock when she blurt "ah-mee" and when I turned to look at her, she grinned. I smiled and answered her "yes, baby..." We could go on for quite a while, she'd call me and I'd answer her; both of us smiling to ourselves and saying nothing else but these. =)
Lia has also learnt to say more words too. Most of the time it'd still be baby talk and it takes a little skill to fully understand what she was trying to say. She'd catch my last word(s) and it gets funny at times! Like one time when I asked if she is full, and when I said, "are you sure?" With that she said, "shure!" James and I burst out laughing for we knew that Lia did not mean to really answer but she was just following my last words.
Remember that time when I went back to stay at my in-laws' place, my mother-in-law gave this set of stacking pyramid? to Lia. Initially, she'd throw them all over the house but now, she is doing this instead...
I do have more to say but our card reader is cranky and I just couldn't upload my pictures and videos! Let's see if it'd get better tomorrow...

That moment when Lia called you is really sweet isn't it? :)
Now that she starts to answer by following the last word you said, it will get funnier each day.
Enjoy your talking time with Lia. Hope she is coping well at school. Take care & get well soon!
